I am a recent graduate from Duke University, where I received my Bachelors in Psychology with minors in Education and Visual Arts. In college, I was on the executive board for my school’s NAMI chapter, and also volunteered as a Peer Supporter for my fellow college students. I have always been passionate and felt empowered by the unique role that peer counseling can play in an individual’s recovery journey. There is truly nothing like the support of a peer who has not only been through, but also recovered from similar obstacles and traumas as you! I have over 2 years of experience in developmental psychology research labs, as I was a Lab Manager and Program Coordinator of the Wilbourn Infant Lab at Duke. I also have volunteered at the Durham Crisis Response Center where I advocated for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors in hospital settings. I am especially driven by the unique challenges that minorities and people of color face in accessing quality and culturally-relevant behavioral healthcare. My services are open to ALL people, and I welcome and embrace diversity of all kinds!
