Finding a counselor that fits you can be a challenge - and deciding to take the step to actually see a counselor can be even harder! Every counselor is different, and the research tells us that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of counseling for positive outcomes.
My goal is to work with you collaboratively to achieve the changes you want to see in your life. Being genuine with you is very important to me, and I believe that it is necessary if I expect you to be genuine with me. I do not expect to be an expert about you, only a guide to help you grow and meet your own goals.
I obtained my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Kentucky University in 2015, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Adams State University. I am an independently licensed professional counselor and supervisor and chemical dependency counselor in the state of Ohio. My counseling practice is grounded in narrative therapy.
In my free time, I can usually be found with my wife and our children or immersing myself in video games or fantasy novels.
