Hey! I’m Heather. I am a Professional Counselor practicing in the state of Ohio. I have a masters degree in Counseling, a bachelor’s in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and a minor in English (kind of a funny story). I have worked in the mental health field since 2017, predominantly in crisis and community settings.
In the course of my career I have provided counseling to individuals, groups, couples and families from age 2 to 85. My current population of focus is adolescents and adults, particularly those who are looking for someone to help them navigate challenges in their lives: new mental health or neurological diagnoses, stress/trauma, loss, life transitions, self-exploration. I am also interested in clients (and their loved ones) who are seeking better means of living with chronic mental illness.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, but I especially favor client-centered, psycho-dynamic and narrative-based approaches. In other words, I want to hear from you about what you need. My goal is to meet you where you’re at, learn who you’ve been, and get you closer to who you want to be.
