Jennifer Trefny has over 12 years of experience as a practicing School Psychologist with experience in grade levels Pre-k – 12th. She has worked in schools in California, Colorado and New York. She is currently, Licensed as a Professional Counselor and School Psychologist in Colorado.
She has a Master of Science in Education in School Psychology from Long Island University in New York in 2010. She furthered her education at Regis University Post Graduate Studies in their mental health counseling program. In addition, she took additional courses at Meridian University Doctorial program in Counseling Psychology. Prior to earning her Master’s she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services Management.
My approach is eclectic therapy that utilizes many different schools of thought to help heal the mind, body and spirit. It is my belief that the therapist must adapt to the client’s individual needs. I strive to provide my clients a safe environment that is empathic, nonjudgmental and secure.
