I was born and raised on the east coast. I come from a small nuclear family. I went to college in the Midwest at Andrews University where I obtained my bachelors and masters of social work after trying my hand at pre-med. I specialized in mental health and medical social work for my masters. I took a class in Trauma Focused CBT obtaining a certification. I always wanted to be in the helping profession from a young age even when reading fiction stories and there were injustices. I wanted to make a difference in the real world. When I’m not at work a few of my hobbies are reading, watching tv, spending time with family which includes my cat, my significant other, and long distance family, and being in the outdoors. I believe in a wholistic approach to therapy services. I identify as a spiritual person who strives to be open-minded and one who never stops learning or being curious. My future career goals include obtaining a full counseling license, becoming certified in ABA and Play therapy, and learning American Sign Language.
