Joanna Wilkinson is a Licensed Social Worker. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of North Florida in 2009 and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2018. Before Mindfully, Joanna trained as a Community-Based Post-Graduate Trainee at Judi’s House in Denver, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children and families grieving the death of a loved one find connection and healing. Other experience includes working as a Family Support Coordinator for Donor Alliance, the designated organ and tissue donation organization in CO and WY; interning with Denver Public Schools as a Youth and Family Success Advocate; working with Colorado Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Services as a Social Work Intern; and working in Community Health Promotion at Denver Public Health.
Joanna enjoys working with young adults and adults to find purpose, meaning, and healing. Clients benefit from a client-centered approach to meet their individual needs and reach their personal goals. Joanna works with clients who present with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, want to build self-esteem, or are going through life transitions. Her style is warm, compassionate, and accepting. Joanna is passionate about helping clients find their connection to mind, body, heart, and spirit.
When she is not working, Joanna can be found practicing yoga, cuddling with her dog, drinking warm drinks & reading, or spending time outdoors with her husband. She loves to travel and practice Spanish whenever possible.
