I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a supervisory designation in the state of Ohio. I received both my bachelors and master's degrees from Ohio University in 2016. I have experience working with a wide range of people from varying in age from school age children to adults.
I have worked with clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, bipolar and other mood disorders, trauma, drug use and adjustment disorders. I have extensive knowledge on medical social work and coping with adjustment to new medical diagnoses. All of this work has been done in individual, group and family therapy sessions- both in person and via telehealth.
My main goal is to help my clients become the best versions of themselves. I focus on a client centered strengths-based approach which allows the client to feel comfortable throughout the session and focus on the issues that they feel are most important in their day to day lives. Deciding to attend therapy is a huge first step which shows strength in working to better understand and manage one's mental health. I look forward in developing a professional relationship with my clients and helping them to reach their goals.
