Maggie has accumulated a variety of experience over the past decade in the mental health care field. She has a passion for empowering others to make meaningful and lasting life changes. Like many providers she has an eclectic approach to counseling. DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Schema, Solution Focused, and Person-Centered Therapeutic techniques are primarily used to support those she serves. However, it is the rapport built through collaboration that is shown to be the most beneficial aspect of therapy. That is why she strives to balance personable with professional in a way that works best for each person. She believes that being transparent, genuine, and treating others with dignity is essential to building the therapeutic alliance. You may notice that she enjoys using humor, psychoeducation, and can keep a gentle but enthusiastic conversational flow in session that keeps it both light and focused on your goals. Maggie has a curious heart and often spends her free time with her cats, running in the woods with friends, and serving her community through her local Rotary Club. If you ever have a question, just ask!
