Monique Lipman, LISW, MPH, has worked in mental health for over ten years in different cities in the United States. She graduated from New York University with a BA in Psychology and from Tulane University with both a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) and a Master’s of Public Health (MPH). She is originally from San Francisco and has spent the bulk of her career practicing in California, focusing on addressing trauma, specifically stemming from intimate partner violence. She has worked with both victims and perpetrators of abuse in mostly criminal settings, such as with clients under legal supervision and those seeking legal aid in freeing themselves of their abusers.
Monique’s clinical approach pulls from mainly a Psychodynamic framework, as well as certain principles in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She focuses on relationships, both past and present, and emotional regulation in her work with her clients.

Monique's therapy assistant, Pickle, enjoys joining her in session. So you may catch a glimpse of him snoozing and snoring. ** this is NOT an accredited sex offender treatment program While I have experience working with sex offenders, I am not a certified treatment provider who can offer services to people needing to satisfy their legal requirement of sex offender treatment. |
