Pamela A. Gulley, Ed.D. has devoted her career to working with children, adolescents and families as they transition through the many phases of life’s journey. With training in both school psychology and clinical psychology she has experience helping families navigating learning, behavior and parenting issues.
She is a sensitive and insightful therapist committed to building trusting client relationships, providing life-changing solutions, and promoting resiliency and personal growth. Her creative therapy approaches focus on an individual’s strengths as they develop healthy coping strategies to deal with life challenges.
Her services include assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan development for behavioral and impulse control issues, learning problems, family communication, adjustment issues, bereavement, and personal growth. She uses a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) approach to treatment.
Dr. Gulley received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the University of Cincinnati. She completed her clinical work at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH. In the course of her career she has supervised clinical services, therapists, and programs for students with severe behavioral handicaps as well as preschool children with developmental and communication disorders. Her experience includes overseeing the behavioral health treatment provided in a secure adolescent residential center serving youth with severe behavior and psychopathology. As the director of Mental Health Services at the state level she was responsible for treatment services provided within state juvenile correction facilities, Access to Better Care Statewide Initiative for Ohio Department of Mental Health, and the Behavioral Health-Juvenile Justice Initiative. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology and education and supervised clinical training of Master and Doctoral level students. She has received appointments as Clinical Faculty to Wright State University School of Professional Psychology, School of Medicine, and Department of Psychology.
