I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervisor designation (LISW-S) with over 20 years of clinical experience. As a career military member I started my Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Denver and completed the MSW program at the University of Cincinnati. I have worked in outpatient, in-patient, residential, primary care, geriatric, home-based, hospice, and private practice settings.
My clinical experience has included primary, secondary, and tertiary clinical services with individuals, groups, couples, and families utilizing a myriad of clinical interventions to assist clients with problem solving. My believe is that the therapeutic relationship is a critical component of the clinician-client relationship, more so than a specific intervention. Thereby I have completed training in various intervention theories, skills, and techniques to provide the client with the best results. I believe in a client centered approach that serves to develop a relationship of trust, confidence, and challenge as a primary tenet of problem solving. I have served clients and families with adaptation to life stressors, mental health, substance, PTSD, grief issues
