My name is Troy Dyer. I am a Licensed Social Worker providing therapy services in the State of Ohio. I graduated with my Bachelors in Psychology in 2015 and my Masters in Social Work in 2021, earning both degrees from the University of Toledo. I have about four years of experience in the mental health field and have served many different populations in that time. I have worked with both children and adults. I have helped clients with a variety of mental health and trauma disorders.
I believe that my role as a therapist is to be an unbiased and reliable guide to help you achieve whatever goals you wish to accomplish or to aid in overcoming obstacles you seek to remove. To this end, I believe that you are the expert on your own life and I strive to bring that level of respect and warmth into my sessions. I utilize a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, strength based interventions, systems theory, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychoeducation in sessions; with an emphasis on working with you to find tools that you can use in your daily life to achieve your goals. This approach allows me to tailor the interventions we use in sessions to your unique needs and goals.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me. If you are ready to take the next step in your journey I would be honored to walk that path alongside you.
