Hi everyone. My name is Will. Before anything, I want to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read a little about me. I am a Licensed Independent (Clinical) Social Worker working as a mental health therapist here at Mindfully. Every therapist has their own unique approach to providing that service. I take something of a holistic approach to therapy. This means that we look at the various factors internal and external that brought you to today and we will work together to develop a plan for a brighter tomorrow. My goal is to create an environment that encourages openness, acceptance, and learning.
I obtained my Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) from Mount St. Joseph University in December of 2018 and my Master’s of Social Work (MSW) from Miami University in May of 2020. During my BSW, I worked with a veteran’s non-profit that was designed to help connect veterans with needed resources to ensure a smooth transition to civilian life. Beginning during my MSW and continuing until July 2021, I worked in a community non-profit providing adult diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, case management needs assessments, and therapy services. During that time, I developed skills utilizing CBT, CBTp (CBT for psychosis), trauma informed approach, motivational interviewing, strengths-based approach, and systems approach. I’ve worked with anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, psychosis, among others. I plan to continue my journey of learning to improve myself personally and professionally so I am better able to meet the unique needs of our clients.
